Well what an event this was!
For the first time in 4 years, our tournament was a complete sell out. If we had time we could of literally added at least another two sessions to the event that is how well it was received.
Archers far and wide signed up to take part and it was great to see some old friends coming back.
We had many new AoR members take part in their very first competition which was absolutely incredible.
The preparation for the event however started two months prior to the date with new signs being made for feet placements and boss numbering as well as taping the Portsmouth target faces together. Catering and raffle prizes being organised by Cate and family. Cate also organised the new medals and trophies for the club to replace all that we had and were missing. So much to do and so much to think of but with amazing people helping you it really helps.
The day itself started very early and although we all felt tired at the end it was such an amazing event it made that all worth while. Everyone rallied round at the end to get the range cleared up and once the presentations had been done, tidy up the remaining items and hall.
A brilliant event and so many people to thank for all their hard work but in particular, Cate, Andy, Angela and Cheryl.
