Archers of Raunds were very honoured to be asked by NCAS to host the NCAS Indoor Portsmouth County Champs Record Status and the Inter County Team event against Bedford again this year.
Well done to our county team for winning today’s match against Bedfordshire, 5878 total points to 5756.
As per our earlier tournament, it was a fantastic event and many amazing comments were made about how friendly our club is and how well the tournament was run again especially with the catering and raffle. The judges were brilliant and as we had a few first time tournament shooters, they took their time to explain the rules and have a dummy run with the timing system – this really helped put them at ease. Thank you to Chief Judge Margaret Marsh, Ted Tricker and Keith Munro for helping us to hold this event and make it a success.
AoR archers again shot amazingly well throughout the day. Well done to Eddie Clarke, Derek Bett and William Hornibrook who are our County Champions. We also had Gold, Silver and Bronze medals awarded to Andy Harbour, Yvonne Goldsworthy, Zoltan Orsos and Madeleine Hornibrook. Superb effort by all and well done to all that took part especially for those in their first tournament.
What an amazing event, very tiring but a real credit to the club for putting on such an impressive show.

Special thanks go to Cate for catering, raffle, Judges food, speech, and helping me with the scores again, Andy for setting up the range along with Tony, Richard, Eddie and Yvonne.
