Grrr, another day stuck in the classroom training and I missed something that Lauren has been striving for all season. However, I was still over the moon on arriving home to learn of her achievement in shooting her first six gold end during the weekend’s AoR closed competition. Despite shooting a longer distance outdoors this year, Lauren has been close to a six gold end on a number of occasions and often set herself the challenge of a achieving it during practice and round shooting.
Shooting at the 50 yard distance during a Short National round, she achieved a great 9,9,9,9,9,9 (five zone scoring). Now she just needs to replicate this at a county shoot to officially earn her elusive six gold end badge.
I’d also like to say a huge thank you to Geoff for stepping in and keeping this closed competition on the calendar this year.
