Shooting away from home at the EMAS Regional Championships on Sunday in Spalding, Katie Bayliss shot a Bristol 2 in very blustery conditions and posted a brilliant 927. Not only did this enable her to claim a black rose award for scoring over 900, but she also went away with the Girls Champion Trophy – we wonderful result at this level.
Back at home and with overcast conditions with a few sunny spells, a light to moderate head on wind and shooting a mixed bag of rounds, new club records were set by:
- Ruby Paul (Ladies U14 Recurve) shot a Short National and set a new club record with a 415 and she claimed her first 1st class score as an U14.
- Louis Paul (Gents U16 Recurve) was not be outdone by younger sister and he set a new club record for the FITA 50 round with a fine 302 and that saw yet another 1st Class score for Louis.
- Bradley Denny (Gents U16 and overall Recurve) set a new club record for the American round with “Junior Bowman” score of 776.
- Mike Williams (Senior Gents Longbow) posted a new club record for the Junior National (out of category) round with a 311.
- Richard Wise, Jnr (Senior Gents Recurve) shot the FITA 50 and he set a new club record for the round with a 312.
