Club Venue & Shooting Times

We provide teas and coffees as well as having full use of the toilets and facilities

We use the large field during the outdoor season and the sports hall for our indoor.

Club Venue

Shooting all year round at Manor School Sports College in Raunds, Archers of Raunds benefits from one single venue for both the indoor and the outdoor shooting seasons. Furthermore, the club is proud to boast one of the best indoor shooting venues in the East Northants (Northamptonshire) region.

During the indoor season the club shoots in the school’s main sports hall. This wonderful facility enables AoR members to shoot distances of up to 30 metres and with the benefit of back stop netting to protect arrows from impacting with the wall behind the bosses.

During the outdoor season, shooting moves to the main playing field behind the school. This flat all weather sports field is well maintained by the school and it enables distances of up to 100 metres to be catered for, with a good overshoot area.

Please Note:

Manor School Sports College is a No Smoking site and smokers must refrain from smoking anywhere on the school property, including the car park area. AoR apologises for any inconvenience that this might cause and thanks smokers for respecting the club’s and School’s no smoking policy.

Shooting Times

Archers of Raunds members benefit from an all year round shooting calendar that is defined and published at the beginning of both the indoor and the outdoor seasons and which covers a number of different rounds that are suitable for all abilities. Furthermore, with four shooting days to choose from, the club is widely available to just about anyone.

The clubs usual shooting days and times are noted below and they are split into the Indoor Season and the Outdoor Season. The indoor season distances are shorter owing to the confines of the sports hall on the various dates.

Indoor Season – From 4th October 2019
