Two dates for your diary – Comp and BBQ.

September is looking like a busy month for Archers of Raunds.  We had yet another beginners course start this evening, a large number of our archers will be heading off to the county championships on Sunday and we have two key events to close the outdoor season.

22nd September – Jonathan is getting around everyone but we’ll be holding our annual closed outdoor shoot on Sunday 22nd, shooting Western rounds.  Please get your entry forms into Jonathan as soon as possible as target places will be running low as get gets round everyone.

If you feel that your designated distance is too much for you, please talk to us.  We have a number of archers who have decided to shoot out of category and we would like to accommodate as many AoR archers as possible and give many of you your first competition experience.

Saturday 28th September will be AoR BBQ day between 1.30pm and 4.30pm.  Hopefully the weather will be kind to us and we’ll have a couple of BBQ’s running with each ticket holder receiving a drink, burger or hotdog, cake and an entry into the raffle.  All for just £4.00 per ticket and there will also be the usual shooting for members.

We’ll also be running a Have-A-Go, subject to the weather.  With tickets available for archers, family and friends this is the perfect way to support your local archery club, enjoy a great afternoon and have the chance to pick up a bow and have a go yourself.

The BBQ will be strictly by ticket only and all tickets must be purchased no later than the close of shooting on the 22nd September.

Please see Leza or Martyn as soon as possible for your ticket.
