Mick has recently compiled a full shooting schedule for the summer outdoor season and I have now uploaded this to my ‘AoR Event Calendar’ page. The page includes all of the Postal League shoots and other important dates in red. AoR archers have been doing well in the postal league over the last couple of years with improved league positions for both teams. Please attend and support these sessions as the more archers that post scores on the day, the more chance Mick has to post great scores for the club.
The schedule also includes the Ivy Keating in a few weeks’ time. This is a NCAS county shoot that AoR are pleased to be hosting this year. As always members help on the Saturday setting out the field and on the Sunday to assist people will be greatly appreciated.
In July we have a great opportunity to promote the club. However, unfortunately the day falls on the Junior Nationals weekend which Bradley, Katie and Lauren will be representing AoR and the county at. This means that we will be six hands down on the day and, whilst we have a small group of willing volunteers to run the day, I know that we will be looking for more help. This help could be in the form of helping people to shoot or co-ordinating people looking to have-a-go.
We need to increase our number of members and this is a perfect venue to do just that. Please, please come forward and let one of the committee members know if you can help on the day.
