What an amazing day we had!!
The field was set and 30 archers and non-archers arrived for the fun and festivities of the fun shoot. The teams were created and the merriment commenced.
Everywhere we looked, there was smiles and laughter on all the faces – the juniors took delight in being the team captain’s and really enjoyed leading their teams. People who did not know each other were all chatting and mingling – all part of our extended family..
It was great to see so many of Santa’s Little Helpers arrive and prepare the field as well as set out the raffle prizes and food.
There are so many people to thank especially the members for their donations for teas/coffee’s which went towards the juniors presents which comprised of selection boxes and a named club t-shirt. Members that donated food and prizes for the event. Committee members Andy, Jon, Richard and Angela for the lovely hot dogs and refreshments. Thanks also goes to all members that helped set up and put away equipment because without you we could not run these events.
Special thanks goes to Cate for her devising the game, organising the event, ordering and wrapping the gifts and the late nights preparing for the event and making it run smoothly.
Brilliant time and thank you all for attending and the kind comments you have made. This makes it all worth while.
