01.04.2010 Outdoor Season Information
Outdoor shooting will commence on the following dates and times

Thursday 1st April and onwards - 6-9pm or when too dark
Friday 2nd April and onwards - 6-9pm or when too dark
Saturday 3rd April and onwards - 2-4.45pm (latest)
Sunday 4th April - Easter Sunday, no shooting
Sunday 11th April until mid May (dates tbc) - 2-4.45pm (latest)
Sunday Mid May (dates tbc) onwards - 10am -1pm

Please note that when shooting afternoon sessions we must be clear of the premises by 5pm latest, not just stopped shooting and off the field. If we are not clear of the car park by 5pm we will be charged extra by the Manor for out of hours closure - if this should happen the extra charge will be passed on to the archers responsible and not born by the club.

Any changes to the above dates or times will be notified as soon as I am aware of them.
Please remember that you can only shoot if there are a minimum of two archers on the field at any time.
Please also remember that we cannot start shooting on Sunday afternoons before 2pm as Rushden & Diamonds will be on the field until that time, however it is possible to arrive earlier for the other sessions as long as you are prepared to accept that other archers may arrive after the field has been set up - this will be your choice.
Beginners courses will still be running on Friday evenings so please bear in mind that this may affect the pace of shooting during these sessions, and be patient - we were all
beginners once.

19/11/08 : We have signed up with Archery pro and this means that club members get a discount on good quality equipment but also the club gets a loyality cashback payment when our members reach a reward payout threshold. Not a big swindle, and still to be seen how beneficial it will be but it doesn't hurt to sign up and see.

ArcheryPro is a new concept brought to you by people in the business and sport of Archery. Alan Wood, the Managing Director has been a member of the GB Paralympic squad for 4 years and has represented the country on numerous occasions. Alongside Alan this site is actively endorsed by Alan Wills, John Cavanagher and Mick Beard who all consider our approach to be a great leap forward.

They aim to combine:

  • the most professional advice, with
  • Internet pricing & price-matching with 5% discount for first time buyers and “affiliated" club members
  • Unique 5% club charitable donation scheme
  • The broadest product range (12,500 products with the highest level of stock in the UK),
  • Local After-Sales Support – the most important ingredient.

However as always you should not buy equipment before completing an archery beginners course and at AOR we have entry level equipment available for use.

EDIT 13/08/09 Some club members have experienced less than stellar support from Archery Pro - ask during club nights for more details.

27/05/08 : We have successfully been awarded an 'Awards for All' grant and the amazing cash injection will enable us to fit permanent back stop netting in the Manor Sports Hall and expand our junior and beginner equipment range. Look out for us in the local Evening Telegraph shortly.

15/08/07 : Wow, so after all the panics the ROSE has been and gone. The good news was it went really well. there were no arguements in the K household. in fact we were worried that we had fogotten something major as it seemed to work out so well. Thanks to all the great archers we met, there were loads of new faces and the atmosphere was excellent.

01/03/07 :In case you are a past member of the club you may be interested to know Phils last shoot went well, and just so he didn't leave with too big a head, Mike made sure he beat him to 1st palce with his final 3 arrows by 1 point! The whole club is looking forward to hearing great things from Phil in the future and we all wish him the very best in his brave new adventure setting up our european training retreat :)
