AOR a mini potted history and time line

[If you have shot with AOR or met any of out old members in the past I would really like to hear of your experinces and recollections - TONY]

Whats vaguely known

The club is around 32 years old so started around 1977, during my time with the club we have shot at the point to point field near newton Bromwold, the Redwell Centre in Wellingborough and The St Johns Hall in Rushden. We also spend sevral years shooting outdoor at Souldrop avoiding sheep poo and ankle breaking moleholes!

K. Wood -

I was a junior member from 1974-1980. In 1976 I was junior club champion & runner-up 1975 & 1977. In 1977 I got best gold medal at the Wellingborough open shoot & was part of the team that won gold at Yardley gobion team shoot. The club secretary at the time was Roger Rice from Higham Ferrers. We used to shoot at Raunds cricket club on Sunday mornings & Rushden ports centre, now Pemberton on Friday evenings in winter.

We also used to go to RAF Alconbury for target and field shoots.

Do you remeber Kevin or Roger please help flesh out our history?
